Use this dialog to create a new load case definition, change a load case type, or modify the parameters of an existing load case.
- Access
-
- Click (Analysis Parameters) in the standard toolbar.
- Click Analysis Analysis Types.
Dialog elements
- New
- Opens the New Case Definition dialog. Use this dialog to set up a new dynamic load case for the structure.
- Parameters
- Opens the parameters dialog for the selected load case. Use this dialog to add or change the analysis parameters.
- Change analysis type
- Opens the Change Analysis Type dialog. Use this dialog to change the type of analysis for the selected load case.
- Delete
- Deletes the selected load case.
- Operations on selection of cases
- This group of options allows you to perform actions on a list of load cases.
Enter the case numbers in the
Case list box, or click
... top open the Selection dialog, and then click one of the buttons below.
- Set parameters.
Sets parameters of the calculation algorithm of nonlinear and buckling analyses.
- Change analysis type.
Changes the load case type to auxiliary, nonlinear, or buckling as well as setting the calculation parameters.
- Delete.
Deletes the selected load cases.
Note: Setting the parameters and the analysis type for a list does not apply to cases of dynamic analyses, such as modal, seismic, spectral, harmonic, or time history analyses.
- Direct Analysis Method (DAM)
- Select this option to enable the direct analysis method, and access the DAM parameters.
Important: If DAM results are available, deselecting this option will delete them all during the next analysis.
- Calculations
- Starts the structure calculations for the defined load cases.
