Select the Forces tab in the
Member Value Selection dialog to select force components for presentation.
You can select the following options in the dialog.
-
Force components
- FX - Adds a table column to display FX axial forces obtained during structure analysis (forces given in local member coordinate system)
- FY, FZ - Add table columns to display FY or FZ shear forces, respectively, obtained during structure analysis (forces given in local member coordinate system).
- MX, MY, MZ - Add table columns to display MX, MY or MZ moments, respectively, obtained during structure analysis (forces given in local member coordinates system).
- FX as compression and tension - If selected, it presents the results of axial force in two columns for compression and tension.
- Elastic ground reactions for members (KY and KZ as well as Reactions KY and Reactions KZ) in the table may be presented. Presentation of member reaction results is supported identically as internal forces.
The KY and KZ values are shown as
elastic ground reactions (R = K u, where R denotes force of reaction, K coefficient of elastic ground reaction, u displacement) along the member length in the local system (if elastic ground has been defined for a member). If elastic ground has not been defined for a member, the table displays the value as N/A. Selecting Reactions KY or Reactions KZ results in displaying a value of the Ky/Kz reaction. It is represented as a sum (integral) of the elastic ground reaction for a member on the elastic ground. The value is constant for a whole member.
- Forces - RC T-beam is considered with the slab option. Switching on the options FRx, FRz or MRy results in presentation of forces or a moment reduced to the center of gravity of an RC beam which is considered integrally with the RC slab (see:
Calculations of RC beams with the slab considered).
