Analysis menu

Analysis Types...

Once this option is selected, a dialog for the definition of structure analysis types and their parameters will open.

Menu: Analysis > Analysis Types... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

See also: Analysis types

Calculations

Activating this command begins the structure analysis.

Menu: Analysis > Calculations command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

Prepare Results...

The option has been designed for great structure models in case of which large resources are required to obtain results. An important characteristic of this option is the possibility to prepare results earlier; it may be done in a time when work with the program does not require an intensive use of the processor and memory.

Menu: Analysis > Prepare Results... command

Save Seismic Combinations Results...

This option allows saving the square combinations on request, without the necessity to run the seismic analysis calculations again.

Menu: Analysis > Save Seismic Combinations Results... command

Calculations Restart...

This option is used restart calculations of the selected cases preserving the results for the previously calculated cases. This option is available after performing complete calculations, when the status of results (visible in the top taskbar of the program) looks as follows: FEM results: current.

Menu: Analysis > Calculations Restart... command

Calculation Report:

Simplified Note

Opens the system text editor containing the structure calculations simplified note.

Menu: Analysis > Calculation report > Simplified Note command

Full Note

Opens the system text editor containing the structure calculations full note.

Menu: Analysis > Calculation report > Full Note command

Verification...

This option allows for structure verification.

Menu: Analysis > Verification... command

Meshing:

Note: Part of the options used to generate the finite elements' mesh is available only in the structure view menu.

Meshing Options...

Once this option is selected, parameters for the mesh will be defined. The parameters must be defined before the meshing.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Meshing Options... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Default Options

Selecting this option results in restoring the default options (determined in the Job Preferences) of mesh generation for surface finite elements.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Default Options command

Base Mesh Points...

Selecting the command allows you to define characteristic points of a finite element mesh that are used while generating mesh by means of Coons' method.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Base Mesh Points... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

See also: Base mesh points

Emitters...

This option allows for defining emitters (points around which the mesh of the surface finite elements will be refined).

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Emitters... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

See also: Emitters

Mesh Freeze

Selecting this option results in freezing the mesh hitherto generated for finite elements. When the calculation model is created again, the mesh will remain unchanged (generation will be performed for panels for which a mesh of finite elements has not been created).

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Mesh Freeze command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Mesh Unfreeze

Selecting this option results in unfreezing the mesh hitherto generated for finite elements. When a new calculation model is created, a mesh is generated and it can be changed.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Mesh Unfreeze command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Local Mesh Generation

Selecting this command results in generation of an FE mesh for selected panels. The mesh will not be generated for the remaining panels.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Local Mesh Generation command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Local Mesh Deleting

Selecting this command results in deleting the generated FE mesh for selected panels. The mesh will not be deleted from the remaining panels.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Local Mesh Deleting command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Mesh Refinement...

Selecting this command results in opening the dialog where you may determine the parameters of mesh refinement.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Mesh Refinement... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Mesh Consolidation...

Selecting this command results in opening the dialog where you may determine the parameters of mesh consolidation (transformation of triangular elements into rectangular ones).

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Mesh Consolidation... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Mesh Quality...

This option allows for checking the quality of the created mesh.

Menu: Analysis > Meshing > Mesh Quality... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):

Generation of computational model

If this command is selected, the program begins to generate the calculation model of a structure (finite elements).

Menu: Analysis > Generation of computational model command

This option is also available in the toolbar (ES grid generation options):
