The Transversal reinforcement tab of the Definition of calculation parameters dialog box for BAEL code:
At the top of the dialog, parameters of reinforcing steel data are defined. These can be entered by either choosing the appropriate steel grade or entering fe resistance.
Either stirrups or spirals may be chosen for Transversal reinforcement. Presently, spiral reinforcement is not available.
At the bottom of the dialog, parameters of stirrup reinforcement are defined:
- Type of reinforcing bars for a stirrup. A diameter list in metric units is accessible.
- Number of legs, that allows to define two, three, four and more legs of stirrups
- Inclination, that is the angle between longitudinal and transversal reinforcement; a list of choice contains the following angle values: 90, 65,5 and 45 degrees
- Number of reinforcement zones, allowing you to specify the maximum number of zones to which stirrup spacings are assigned. For each zone a spacing of stirrups is uniform.
- Modularity of spacings, determining a list of stirrup spacings by modularity value. If a Modularity of spacings is defined as 2" , the accessible spacings are 2,4,6,8 etc., and for Modularity of spacings as 0,5", the accessible spacings are 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2.0...
- A list of user defined stirrup spacings not linked with any modular value for element reinforcement. For example 1 ,2 ,3 ,6 , and 9.
Use Caquot spacings to generate stirrup spacing appropriate for an envelope of shear forces. A list of accessible spacings is the Caquot set. Note that a number of reinforcement zones cannot be defined if the Use Caquot spacings is selected.
