To Add an Ancillary to a Part-Based Pressure Network

You can add ancillaries during pressure network layout or editing. Unlike pressure pipes and fittings, ancillaries are categorised by type (such as valves) rather than by material.

In plan view, ancillaries can be added to the ends of a pipe or inserted anywhere along a pipe. Layout cues are displayed to indicate where the ancillaries can be inserted.

  1. Create a pressure network and begin laying it out using the Pipes and Bends or Pipes Only options.
  2. On the Pressure Network Plan Layout ribbon tab, on the Insert panel, select the type of ancillaries to add.
  3. Click Add Ancillaries .
  4. Select the insertion point.
