To Change Alignment Constraints

To change alignment tangency constraints

  1. Click the alignment. Click Alignment tabModify panelGeometry Editor Find.
  2. On the Alignment Layout Tools toolbar, click Alignment Grid View.

    The Alignment Entities vista displays the attributes of only the selected alignment entities. If you select another element using Ctrl+click, it is added to the list.

  3. In the Tangency Constraint column, click the desired row.
  4. Select the Tangency Constraint from the list.
    Note: The Tangency Constraint of adjacent elements automatically changed. For example, if you have a free curve between two fixed lines, and you change the second line to Constrained By Preceding (Floating), then the curve will also be changed to Constrained By Preceding (Floating). This happens because a free entity can exist only between two fixed entities.

To change alignment parameter constraints

  1. Click the alignment. Click Alignment tabModify panelGeometry Editor Find.
  2. On the Alignment Layout Tools toolbar, click Alignment Grid View.

    The Alignment Entities vista displays the attributes of only the selected alignment entities. If you select another element using Ctrl+click, it is added to the list.

  3. In the Parameter Constraint Lock column, click the lock in the desired row.

    When the unlocked icon is displayed, the Parameter Constraint value is available.

  4. In the Parameter Constraint column, click the desired row.
  5. Select the Parameter Constraint from the list.
