To Create a Curve in a Survey Figure Using the Chord Whole Circle Bearing

Create a non-tangential curve using the chord whole circle bearing.

  1. In Toolspace, on the Survey tab, right-click a named network Survey Command Window.
  2. At the Command line, enter:

XC ZD BULB [radius] [chord whole circle bearing] [chord distance]

Command Syntax

XC ZD BULB [radius] [chord whole circle bearing] [chord distance]

Parameter Definition
BULB Creates a curve that is greater than 180°.
radius The distance from a center point to the curve. Enter this value in the current survey database distance units. Use a negative radius to draw the curve in a counter-clockwise (left) direction.
chord quadrant bearing The desired quadrant bearing. Enter this value in the current survey database angular units, either DMS, grads, decimal degrees, mils, or radians.
chord distance The distance from the current vertex in the figure. Enter this value in the current survey database distance units.
