To Renumber Plots

Renumber area plots after they have been created.

Plots can be renumbered based on a starting number and increment value; they can be renamed based on a name template.

Tutorial: Creating Plots from AutoCAD Objects

  1. Select the Plot.
  2. Click Plot tabModify panelRenumber/Rename Find.
  3. In the Renumber/Rename Plots dialog box, specify the site you want to work with and click Renumber.
  4. Specify a starting number and an increment value.
  5. Optionally, click Use Name Template In Plot Style to ensure that the name template is used to resolve the plot name when renumbering.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click in the drawing to select plots using the selection jig (similar to the AutoCAD FENCE command, which selects all objects that cross the selection fence). As each plot is selected, a temporary line is drawn and plots faces are highlighted. When you finish picking plots, the line disappears, enabling you to repeat the selection process for another set of plots.

The plot numbers, which are displayed in the plot area labels, are updated after you exit the command.

  8. When you finish renumbering, press Enter.
