Curve and Transition Settings Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to enter the curve settings you want to use when creating alignments or plots using the Straight-Straight (With Curves) command and to specify the transition defaults.

While you can select various combinations of Transition In, Curve, and Transition Out, the A value of the transitions is controlled by the radius of the curve. The length of the transitions is controlled by changing the A Value.

Note: If the alignment has design criteria applied to it, the default values specified in the Curve and Transition Settings dialog box will not be used. Instead, the minimum values in the specified design criteria file will be applied.
Type

Specifies the transition type.

Note: The transition type you specify is used in all transition commands on the Alignment Layout Tools toolbar.
Transition In

Specifies whether your design includes a transition either before a curve or before a Transition Out.

Length

A Value
