Rail platform edges are feature lines which represent a clearance offset between a rail platform and a carriage.
Generally, the upper edge of the platform specifies a set distance from both above the rail and from the edge of the track. Single and dual platform subassemblies are designed to work with a platform edge for targeting. This allows you to create a dynamically updating rail platform running along a railway track (either single or dual).
You can use the provided tools to define a rail platform edge for either light or heavy rail. For heavy rail, you can specify a design criteria file that includes industry-standard rules with calculations that consider cant, track slope and curvature.
