Profile Tab (Projection Style Dialog Box)

Use this tab to control how this style displays AutoCAD objects in profile views.

Each Projection Style includes settings for all types of AutoCAD objects that can be projected. Ensure that you have the correct object selected in the drop-down list when you are making the edits to the style.

Select Object

Specify the type of object to configure: AutoCAD points, solids, 3D polylines, blocks, or multi-view blocks.

Object Display

Specify As Drawn or select a marker style for the current object. If a suitable marker style is not available from the list, you can create a new style and select a custom marker or AutoCAD block. The marker is displayed in the Preview pane.

When AutoCAD Solids is selected in the Select Object list, the Section check box appears. If you select this check box, the projection is created to represent the solid exactly where the alignment crosses it. If you clear this check box, the projection is created to represent the solid at its centroid rather than at the exact location where the alignment crosses the solid.

Note: A projected solid that uses a projection style with the Section check box selected will appear in the profile view only if the alignment actually crosses the solid that is being projected.
