Use this dialog box to reload bridges into a drawing from an updated IMX dataset, to view the dataset properties and to remove the bridges from the drawing.
After you use the Open InfraWorks Model command to bring bridges in an InfraWorks IMX dataset into Civil 3D, you can use the InfraWorks Dataset Manager dialog box to reload the bridges if the bridges have been changed.
- The InfraWorks Dataset Manager dialog box lists only IMX datasets that contain bridges which have been brought into the drawing. It does not list SQLITE InfraWorks datasets.
- The Reload option updates the bridge objects in the drawing and their projections in profile views.
- The Reload option only reloads bridges in the dataset and does not reload other InfraWorks object types that may exist in the selected IMX dataset.
- If another feature such as a component road was updated in InfraWorks due to changes in a bridge, it will not be updated when you reload the dataset. For best results, if the road has changed in InfraWorks, delete both the bridge and the road in the drawing and then bring them in together again using the Open InfraWorks Model command. This will ensure that the related objects are up to date and will also ensure that a corridor region for the bridge is created correctly.
-
If a dataset that you reload contains a new bridge or bridge component that did not previously exist in the drawing, the object may be placed on layer 0 when it is brought into the drawing using the Reload option. If an existing dataset contains a new bridge, for example, you may want to use the Open InfraWorks Model command to bring in the new bridge so that the bridge will use the Infraworks - Civil 3D Exchange Settings.

- Tick Box
- Selects datasets to reload or delete.
- Name
- Displays the name of each dataset that has been brought into the drawing.
- Status
- Displays the current status of each dataset:
- Saved Path
- Displays the path in which the dataset is stored.
- Properties
- Opens the InfraWorks Dataset Properties dialog box.
Note: If Unknown is displayed in the Status column, properties are not available for the dataset.
- Reload
- Reloads the bridges in the IMX dataset into the drawing. This updates the drawing with any changes to the bridges and also updates the bridge projections in profile views.
- Delete
- Deletes the bridges from the drawing. The Delete option will completely remove the bridges in the dataset from the drawing.
Only the bridges that were created in the drawing from the selected IMX dataset are removed from the drawing. Other object types that may have been created in the drawing from the IMX dataset are not deleted.
