Use this tab to specify details for the turnout sleeper dimensions, track width and safety clearance.
Sleeper
- Length
- Specifies the length of the first sleeper at the start of the turnout.
- Length Increment
- Specifies the sleeper length increment. As the diverted alignment extends out, the length of the sleeper needs to be increased to cover the width of both tracks. This parameter controls the amount of increase in the length of the sleeper for each sleeper in this area.
- Minimum Offset
- Specifies the minimum distance between the sleeper's outer border and the rail track's outer border. The distance between the sleeper's outer border and the rail track's outer border needs to be greater than or equal to the minimum offset.
- Width
- Specifies the width of the sleepers.
- Centreline Distance
- Specifies the distance between two sleepers' centrelines.
Track Width
- Specifies the track width.
Safety Clearance
- Specifies the safety clearance distance, which is the distance between the turnout boundary and the sleepers' outer border line.
