To Work With Projected Objects in Section Views

You can use the Projections and Crossings tab in the Section View Properties dialog box to modify all projections and crossings at once for the section view.

If you select an individual projected object in a section view, you can also access commands for that projected object in the Projected Object context ribbon, or by right-clicking the object and accessing commands on the context menu.

Note: A crossing and a projection share the same insertion point in section view and both are selected if you select either one in section view.

To modify projected objects in a single section view

  1. In the drawing, click any grid or axis line of the section view you want to edit.
  2. Right-click the section view grid. Click Section View Properties.
  3. Use the options on the Projections and Crossings tab to modify any of the objects that are projected into the section view.
    • Hide and show projections and crossings by clearing and selecting tick boxes in the Draw Crossings and Draw Projections columns.
Note: You can also hide projections and crossings by selecting them in the section view and pressing the Delete key. After using the Delete key, the objects continue to appear on the Projections and Crossings tab in the Section View Properties dialog box, but the tick boxes in the Draw Crossings and Draw Projections columns are cleared. You can select one or both of those tick boxes to restore the objects to the section view.
    • Specify styles and label styles for crossings and projections. For more information, see About Projection and Crossing Styles for Section Views.
    • Specify level settings.
    • Use context menu options to zoom and pan to the projected objects in the section view or in plan view and to permanently remove projected objects from the section view.
Note: You can remove multiple objects at a time from the section view by holding down the Shift or Ctrl key while selecting their names and then right-clicking and selecting Remove.
