Codes to Extract Page (Extract Corridor Solids Wizard)

Use the Codes to Extract page of the wizard to specify the corridor elements you want to extract as solids.

Corridor
Displays the name of the selected corridor.
Expand All

Expands all categories in the dialog box.

Collapse All

Collapses all open categories in the dialog box.

Turn On All the Shapes and Links

Selects all the shapes and links.

Turn Off All the Shapes and Links

Clears the selection of all the shapes and links. Any shape or link that is not selected in the dialog box when you click Extract Solids is not extracted from the corridor.

Add Regions
Closes the dialog box and displays the command prompts again so that you can add to your selection set.
Name
The Name field displays a list of baselines, regions, assemblies, subassemblies, shapes, and links that make up the corridor model.
Tip: Use the context menu to perform functions like applying settings, removing codes, and copying values.
Code Type
Lists the type of code (shape or link).
Side
Lists the side of the baseline (left, right, no).
Start Chainage
Lists the starting chainage of the corridor region.
End Chainage
Lists the ending chainage of the corridor region.
Color
Specifies the color for the shapes and links being extracted. For assemblies, the default is ByLayer. For codes, the default is the color defined by the corridor's code set style.

You can change the color by clicking the icon and selecting a color from the Select Color dialog box. If you change the specified color for an assembly, the change is applied to all codes in the assembly.

Tip: To duplicate color settings for multiple shapes and links, you can right-click to display the context menu and click Apply Settings To Siblings in This Node or All With Same Code.
Layer Name Template
Specifies the naming structure you want for the extracted solids or bodies.
To adjust the naming structure, click the icon. The Name Template dialog box is displayed where you can make selections from the Property Fields list and clicking the Insert button. Template options include:
  • User Defined Text — Any user defined text that is needed in a layer name.
  • Construction Region Start Station — The starting chainage value of the corridor solids region.
  • Construction Region End Chainage — The ending chainage value of the corridor solids region.
  • Construction Region Name — The region name is automatically formatted as “Region: XX+XX – XX+XX” and is calculated by the baseline chainage values. You can change the default name by selecting the name in the list.
  • Corridor Name — The name of the corridor.
  • Codes — The link code name or shape code name that is derived from the subassembly definition.
    Note: The Link Code and Shape Code names are valuable for accessing the exported model to determine its intent, for example, Base, Sub-base, Pave1, etc.
  • Subassembly Name — The subassembly name can be included in the layer name, if needed. In most cases, the Shape Code from subassemblies provides the necessary information for those accessing the exported model. However, there may be cases, such as reviewing the design, where the subassembly name could be valuable.
  • Subassembly Shape Index — The subassembly shape index name can also be included.
  • Subassembly Side — The subassembly side can be included to identify the side of the baseline (left, right, or no).
