You can build a surface from a dynamic reference to the survey points that are included in a survey query.

When a point survey query is added to the surface definition, the survey points are not added to the drawing. The point survey query is a dynamic reference to the points that are included in the survey database. If the points in the survey database are updated, the changes are propagated to the surface when you:
- Refresh the surface.
The surface is then marked as
out of date. - Rebuild the surface.
The survey points that are included in a survey query can also be added to the surface as static points.
