Viewport Rendering

It is possible to render inside the Maya viewport, by switching the viewport "Renderer" to Arnold. Some of the Arnold RenderView options are exposed in the viewport as follows:   

  1. Start/stop Arnold in the viewport.
  2. Define a crop window.
  3. Set the viewport render resolution.
  4. Set shading to debug mode.
  5. Select display channels (AOVs).
Note:

The Material Viewer cannot render at the same time that the RenderView is running. Only one render session can be active in Arnold at the moment. If you stop the RenderView, then the Material Viewer will be updated.
