Create an Element Contour

Cut plates by a beam or by another plate.

A plate can be processed by a beam or by another plate in two ways:

Exact cross section	Casing cross section

Access the command

Features tool palette: (Element contour).

Command line: _AstM4PlateElementContourNotch

Create an element contour

1. From the Objects tab Switch panel, select the type of processing you need.

   Button	Function
   	Exact cross section
   	Casing cross section

2. In the Features tool palette, click (Element contour).
3. Select a plate to modify.
4. Select an element (i.e. beam or another plate) with which to process the plate.

• The plate is processed. The properties dialog box appears.
