Create a saw cut at flange or at web

Beams are adjusted to another beam flange or another beam web. You can enter a distance that the diagonal cut must keep to the intersecting plane. You have the option to weld the beams.

The feature is based on rules, so the properties can be modified through the connection object. To modify the properties, display the connection object.

To access the command

Features tool palette:

To adjust a beam to another beam at flange

1. Features tool palette: Click .
2. Select the main beam and press <Enter>.
3. Select the beam to cut and press <Enter>.
   • The second beam is cut according to the main beam flange.
4. From the Properties dialog box, Type field, select Saw cut - flange .
