Create a Camera in the Model

Create cameras in your model to allow individual focus for automatically creating detail drawings.

The camera is an object representing the location, angle, and depth of a view, allowing individual focus for automatically creating detail drawings. You can present, name and save the camera model views, elevation or overview settings, and node details.

To create a camera according to the UCS:

  1. Place the UCS in a suitable position.
  2. On the Tools palette, click (Create camera, UCS) to create a camera according to the current user coordinate system.
  3. On the command line, enter the origin of the camera: 0,0,0. The camera is created, and the properties dialog appears.
  4. In the camera properties dialog, make the necessary settings.
Note: The camera is created using the current user coordinate system.

To create one or multiple cameras at a connection node:

  1. On the Tools palette, click (Create camera(s), node).
  2. Select a connection node in the model.
  3. Multiple camera previews are created for that specific node. Click to select the desired camera or cameras and press Enter to create them in the model.

The camera grid is stretched around the origin. The pencil-top shows the view direction. To access the camera properties, select the camera, right-click and select Advance Properties from the contextual menu.
