Create Tapered Beams

Learn how to create and define tapered beams.

How to access the command

On the Objects tab Beams panel, click (Welded beams, tapered).

Create a tapered beam

1. Select a suitable UCS.
2. On the Objects tab Beams panel, click (Welded beams, tapered).
3. Specify the start point of the beam system axis.
4. Specify the end point of the beam system axis.

• The compound profile is created.

The properties dialog box appears.

On the Section tab, define the height of the start section and the height of the end section.
