Menus
Allows you to switch between Long and Short tool sets. Short Menus can provide a simplified interface by reducing the number of tools visible.
Note: Shelves can also be used to create a custom set of tools. This has the advantage that the full set of tools is always available in the Palette while a reduced set can be displayed in the shelf.
Specifying tools for Short Menus
You can select which tools appear in the short menus by using Preferences > Hotkeys/Menu Editor.
By default all tools are included in the short menu list. Turn off the 
icon to remove a tool from the short menu set. Then select Preferences > Menus > Short Menus to switch to the reduced set.
Tip: If a tool appears to be missing, check whether Short or Long menus are specified, and switch to Long menus to display all tools.
