To Set Up Adjacency Relations Between Space Surfaces

Spaces can detect adjacencies between surfaces of neighboring spaces. This is important for processing a building plan in an engineering application like AutoCAD MEP 2024 toolset. You can define the maximum allowed adjacency distance between space surfaces.

1. Click Options.
2. Click the AEC Object Settings tab.
   
3. For Maximum Automatic Adjacency select the maximum allowed distance between 2 surfaces that should be considered adjacent to each other.
4. Click OK.
   Tip: Alternatively, you can set the maximum automatic adjacency between space surfaces on the command line by entering AECSPACEMAXAUTOADJACENCY.
