- Drawing View Border
- Defines the extent of the drawing view. The drawing view border is visible only when you select the view or when you move the cursor over it.
Why is it important to know where the drawing view border is? If you want to select the drawing view, click an empty area inside the drawing border. Consider the detail view in the illustration. It contains a circular detail view border that extends beyond the drawing view border. If you click inside the detail view border, the drawing view is not selected unless the point you clicked is inside the drawing view border.
- Center Grip
- Works as a handle that you can drag to move the selected drawing view.
By default, orthogonal drawing views are constrained to be aligned to their parent views. If you move a parent view, the child view also moves to maintain alignment. If you move a child view, the direction of movement is restricted to maintain alignment. You can toggle the alignment constraint by tapping the SHIFT key as you move the child view.
- Lookup Grip
- Displays a menu containing preset scale values. Select a scale value to rescale the drawing view using the grip location as the base point. A check mark indicates the current scale value.
