Display the Visual Styles Manager to Set Edge Effects

Control the Display of Edges and Edge Color

  1. For the current visual style, under Edge Settings, in the Show field, choose Facet Edges, Isolines, or None.
  2. If Isolines is selected, specify the number of lines.
  3. From the Color drop-down, specify a color, or choose Select Color to open the Select Color dialog box.

Add Line Extension Effects to Edges

  1. For the current visual style, under Edge Modifiers, click the Line Extensions Edges button.
  2. In the Line Extensions field, enter an extension value.
    Note: The line extension is scaled to display properly in viewports of different sizes. The line extension effect is not applied to a line that is less than twice as long as the line extension would be.

Add a Jitter Effect to Edges

  1. For the current visual style, under Edge Modifiers, click the Jitter Edges button.
  2. From the Jitter drop-down, choose High, Medium, Low, or Off.

Control Display of Silhouette Edges

  1. For the current visual style, under Silhouette Edges, in the Show field, select Yes or No.
  2. When Yes, in the Width field, enter a value from 1 to 25.

Control the Display of Occluded Edges

  1. Under Available Visual Styles in Drawing , select Hidden.
  2. Under Edge Settings, in the Show field, click Facet Edges.
  3. Under Occluded Edges, in the Show field, select Yes.
  4. From the Color drop-down, specify a color, or choose Select Color to open the Select Color dialog box.
  5. From the Linetype drop-down, select a linetype.

Control the Display of Occluded Lines

  1. Under Available Visual Styles in Drawing , select 2D Wireframe.
  2. Under 2D Hide - Occluded Lines, from the Linetype drop-down, select a linetype.
  3. From the Color drop-down, specify a color, or choose Select Color to open the Select Color dialog box.
  4. At the Command prompt enter HIDE to regenerate the drawing.
