To Insert a Block Using Automatic Placement

  1. Click Home tabBlock panelInsert. Find
  2. To display the Blocks palette, click one of the following:
    • Recent Blocks
    • Favorite Blocks
    • Blocks from Libraries
  3. In the Blocks palette, under Options, select Auto-Placement.
  4. Right-click a block and choose Insert.

    Alternatively, use the click-and-place method to insert the block reference.

  5. As you move the block in the drawing, placement suggestions are displayed. Do one of the following:
    • Click to accept the block placement suggestion.
    • Press Ctrl to switch to other placement suggestion.
    • Move the cursor away to ignore the placement suggestion.
Note: To turn off block placement suggestions temporarily, hold down Shift+W or Shift+[ (for QWERTY keyboard layout) while you insert the block. For the default temporary override keys for placement suggestions using other keyboard layouts, refer to the Customize User Interface (CUI) Editor.
