CAMERA (Command)

Sets a camera and target location to create and save a 3D perspective view of objects.

The following prompts are displayed

Camera location
Sets the point from which to view objects in a model. Enter a value or specify a point.
Target location
Sets the target location of a camera’s lens. Enter a value or specify a point.
?—List Cameras

Displays a list of the currently defined cameras. Enter a camera name or enter * to list all cameras.

Name

Specifies a new name for the current camera.

Location

Modifies the initial placement of the camera.

Height

Specifies the camera height.

Target

Specifies the target of the camera.

Lens

Specifies the lens length of the camera in millimeters, which must be a positive number that is 600 or less.

Clipping
Defines front and back clipping planes and sets their values. Clipping planes are boundaries that set limits on the field of view.
  • Enable front clipping plane? Specify Yes or No.
  • Specify front clipping plane offset from target plane. Enter a distance.
  • Enable back clipping plane? Specify Yes or No.
  • Specify back clipping plane offset from target plane. Enter a distance.
View

Sets whether to switch the current view to match the camera settings. Specify Yes or No.

Exit

Ends the command, saving the current settings.
