Use this dialog box to enter part or assembly information for the BOM.

Component Properties Provides the ability to enter data for component properties. Only the component properties pre-configured for display in this dialog box appear. Note: The Name component property is set to a formula, by default. This formula enables AutoCAD Mechanical toolset to pick up the name of objects such as blocks, automatically. However, if you specify a name manually (even when the formula does not pick up a name automatically), AutoCAD Mechanical toolset considers it an override and highlights it in blue.

Settings Displays the BOM Settings dialog box, where you can set what component properties are visible in this dialog box. |

|
Quantity Provides the option to override the default quantity of 1, with any quantity, as required. |

|
Exclude from Parts List Excludes the component from all parts lists. The component remains in the BOM but is excluded from parts lists. You are prevented from creating balloons for this component as well. |

Connect Attaches the part reference to a block. The system prompts you to select the block to connect to. This option is applicable only to part references created using the Block option at the time you create the part reference. |

Disconnect Detaches the part reference from a block The system prompts you to select the block to disconnect from. This option is applicable only to part reference that are already attached to a block. |

BOM Attach Provides tools to xref to a BOM from another drawing. |
|
|
Attach Displays a dialog box that enables you to select the drawing file that contains the BOM to which you want to xref. This button is unavailable if a BOM is attached already. |

|
Detach Detaches the link to the external BOM. This button is available if an external BOM is attached. |
|
|
Attached to Displays the path to the drawing containing the BOM the part reference is attached to. You cannot edit the text in this box. |
