Summary

You can create a centerline

Note: Inventor Link is available only on 64-bit systems, and it is not installed by default.

AMCENLINE uses the system variables AMCLGAP, AMCLOSHT , and AMCLCM to determine the size of the center mark and centerlines. Center mark size remains fixed throughout updates unless AMCLPAR is turned on.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Select edge

Selects a line arc or circle to use as a reference for the centerline.

Select mirrored edge

Selects a second object to pair with the first object you selected. Press ENTER to use only the first object you selected. SUbsequent prompts depend on what you selected.

One linear edge selected
Created a centerline perpendicular to the selected linear edge through its midpoint. Trim the start and endpoints of the centerline.
  • First trim point - Specifies the start point of the centerline.
  • Second trim point - Specifies the end point of the centerline.
One arc or circle selected
Creates a center mark at the center of the circle or arc.
Two linear edges or arcs selected
Creates a centerline along the mirror line between two selected edges or arcs. Trim the start and endpoints of the centerline.
  • First trim point - Specifies the start point of the centerline.
  • Second trim point - Specifies the end point of the centerline.
