Marking/Stamping Symbol Dialog Box (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Use the Marking/Stamping Symbol dialog box to select a marking or stamping symbol and define the symbol.

Symbol Tab

Options

Select the appropriate symbol.

Note: You cannot change the symbol type during an edit operation.

Marking

Sets the marking symbol as the active symbol.

Stamping

Sets the stamping symbol as the active symbol.

Requirements

Select options to define the marking or stamping symbol.

 

Contents

List of content symbols for the marking symbol or stamping symbol. The content changes based on the symbol selected.

 

Technique

List of methods for the marking symbol or the stamping symbol. The content changes based on the symbol selected.

 

Technical Requirements

Specifies a reference to technical requirements.

Clear Button

Remove information from the contents, methods, and technical requirement fields.

Leader and Text tab

Arrowhead

Specifies the type of the leader arrowhead. When the arrowhead is set to By Standard, it acquires the arrowhead from the current drafting standard. Thereafter, if you change the arrowhead selected for the current drafting standard (in the Standard Settings dialog box or Marking/Stamping Settings dialog box) the arrowhead for this symbol updates automatically.

 

Edit object attachment

 

Attach

Attaches the symbol to an object in the drawing. When attached, if you move the object the symbol moves with it.

 

Detach

Detaches the symbol. The symbol becomes a free-standing object.

Settings

Opens the Marking/Stamping Settings dialog box and enables you to edit the default settings for the symbols for the current drafting standard.
