AMIVPROJECT (Command)

Sets the current Inventor Project (.ipj) file to locate dependent files when opening assembly (.iam) files.

Summary

Autodesk Inventor Project (.ipj) files contain information about where the program saves the part (.ipt) files of an assembly. If AutoCAD Mechanical toolset is unable to determine where to find an assembly's part files, use the AMIVPROJECT command to point to the appropriate .ipj file.

You must close all Autodesk Inventor documents before running the AMIVPROJECT command. When you issue the AMIVPROJECT command, a File Open dialog box appears to help you locate the .ipj file.

Note: Inventor Link is available only on 64-bit systems, and it is not installed by default.
