To Create a Part Reference for a User-Defined BOM Item (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

How to create a Part Reference using data from a user-defined item in a BOM.

1. Click Annotate tabBOM panelBOM. Find
2. At the command prompt, enter M.
3. In the BOM dialog box, click in the row containing the user-defined item.
4. In the toolbar (of the BOM dialog box), click . The BOM dialog box hides.
5. In the drawing area, click a geometry (or a blank space in the drawing area) to place the Part Reference.
   Note:

   • If you place the Part Reference on a geometry, the Part Reference attaches to the geometry. If you place the Part Reference in a blank space, the Part Reference is unattached.
   • If the user-defined row specified a quantity greater than 1, the program applies a quantity override to the Part Reference. Consequently, the quantity in the Part Reference is the same as the quantity in the BOM.
