Add Crossings To Profile View Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to specify marker and label styles for the crossing objects and to specify elevation options.

Name

Displays the names and categories of objects that are in the selection set to be added as crossing objects to the current profile view.

To remove an object, right-click its name in the list and click Remove.

You can also remove an object by clicking the check box next to an object to clear it .

Note: If you clear the check boxes next to all of the profiles associated with an alignment, the check box next to the parent alignment is also cleared. To remove a profile but not its parent alignment, right-click the profile and click Remove.
Tip: To show a profile as a crossing object, but not its parent alignment, you can assign the parent alignment a marker style that has its visibility setting set to off.
Crossing Marker Style

Specifies the crossing marker style. Click <set all> for a category to specify the style for all objects of the category.

These styles are located in the Toolspace Settings tree in the GeneralMultipurpose StylesMarker Styles collection.

Crossing Label Style
Specifies the crossing label style. Click <set all> for a category to specify the label style for all objects of the category.

Crossing label styles are specific to profile views and can be found in the Profile View Label Styles Crossing collection on the Settings tab in Toolspace.

Elevation Options

Specifies how the elevation of each crossing marker and/or label is determined.

  • Use Object: The elevation is read from the object properties.
  • Surface: The elevation of a selected surface is used.
  • Profile: The elevation of a selected profile is used.
  • Manual: The elevation specified in the Elevation Value column is used.
  • <set all>: Used at the category level to specify the elevation option for all crossing objects in the category.
Elevation Value

Specifies the elevation of the crossing object and label when the Elevation Options property is set to Manual. Click <set all> for a category to specify an elevation for all crossing objects of the category that are set to the Manual Elevation Options property.

Displays the elevation value for the crossing object and label when the Elevation Options property is set to Use Object, a surface, or a profile.

Note: Crossing alignments are shown as vertical lines in the profile view rather than as markers because they do not have elevations, but you can specify an elevation value for the crossing alignment labels. If the elevation that you specify for a crossing alignment label is outside of the elevation range of the profile view, the elevation will be adjusted automatically so that it is within the elevation range.
Pick Objects

Click to select objects in the drawing and add them to the profile view.
