To List the Slope Distance Between Two Points in the Survey Database

Use the Slope Distance command to determine the slope distance between two points.

To determine the slope distance between two points using the Survey Command Window

  1. In Toolspace, on the Survey tab, right-click a named network Survey Command Window.
  2. In the Survey Command Window, click Point Information menu Slope Distance.
  3. Enter the point identifier of the start point.
  4. Enter the point identifier of the ahead point.

To determine the slope distance between two points using the Command line in the Survey Command Window

  1. In Toolspace, on the Survey tab, right-click a named network Survey Command Window.
  2. At the command line, enter:

    SDIST [point 1] [point 2]

The following example shows a valid entry using the Slope Distance command:

NEZ 1 100 100 30.480

NEZ 2 200 200 33.528

SD 1 2

Slope distance: 141.45

This example determines the slope distance from point 1 to point 2. Distances are in the current survey database units.
