Use this dialog box to add the survey points and figures that meet the conditions of specified survey queries to a surface.
Survey points and figures that are added to a surface using this dialog box may be added either to the drawing as static objects, or as a dynamic reference to the survey points and figures in the survey database.
-
Add Query Results to This Surface
- Specifies the surface to which to add the query results. Select a surface from the list, or click either to create a new surface, or to select a surface from the drawing.
-
Query Results
- Specifies how the survey query results are added to the surface:
-
Insert Query Results into Drawing as Point Groups and Figures
: The survey points and figures that meet the specified query conditions are added into the drawing, and are used to build the surface. Points are added to the surface as a point group, and figures are added to the surface as breaklines.
-
Reference the Survey Database for Dynamic Query Results
: The survey points and figures that meet the specified query conditions are added as a dynamic reference to the survey database. The survey query operations are added to the surface definition in the Point Survey Queries and Figure Survey Queries nodes, and the surface is built from the point and figure data. Because the data is dynamically referenced, if the survey points or figures are changed in the survey database, the changes are propagated to the surface when you:
- Refresh the surface.
The surface is then marked as out of date.
- Rebuild the surface.
-
Use These Survey Queries
- Specifies the available survey queries to reference. This list displays all survey queries that are in the currently open survey database. If the Survey Query Builder dialog box is open, then this list also includes <Active Query Builder Query> as a selection.
Note: <Active Query Builder Query> is not available as a selection if Reference the Survey Database for Dynamic Query Results is specified under Query Results. This is because only database resident queries can be used to create a dynamic reference.
-
Mid-Ordinate Distance
-
Specifies the mid-ordinate distance for figures. Enter a value or click to digitize the mid-ordinate distance in the drawing.
