You can create a pressure network from water industry model data that was created in AutoCAD Map 3D.
The data must be stored in an industry model drawing, and the water industry model features must be visible in order to select them. A water industry model is a specialized schema that has feature classes, rules, and relationships for the water industry.
The water industry model is converted using the default parts list assigned in the CreatePressureFromIndModel command settings.
The parts are converted using the following matching rules:
If the current parts list does not contain a part that matches the part in the industry model, then a message is displayed in the Event Viewer. In some cases, if a part type cannot be found, the industry model part is not converted. In other cases, parts may be converted based on the best available, but perhaps not exact, match. Please check the Event Viewer for these messages.
System Condition | UI Interaction | Message |

The current parts list does not have any pipes, or fittings, or appurtenances in it. For example, if the part required is a Tee, but the parts list has no fitting types at all, then no part is inserted. |
Event Viewer message | "Source feature <name> - ID <n> was not converted because it has no part type." |
The current parts list does not have a specific part type (pipe, fitting, or appurtenance type). For example, if the part required is a Tee, and the parts list has no Tee type but does have an Elbow, it will use the Elbow type. |
Event Viewer message | “Source feature <name> - ID <n> was converted, but an exact match of part type was not found.” |
The current parts list does not have a specific part material. For example, if the part required is a Tee with material as Ductile Iron, and a Tee is found, but it is not a Ductile Iron Tee. |
Event Viewer message | “Source feature <name> - ID <n> was converted, but an exact match of part material was not found.” |
The current parts list has at least one part that matches the required part type | N/A | N/A |
