When importing data from ArcGIS, for each layer import setting, you can now map ArcGIS fields to selected Civil 3D feature type properties. The objects are then created in Civil 3D with the mapped properties. Note that the default extended property set for ArcGIS layer is still created with all fields in ArcGIS. For more information, see Settings Editor and Property Mapping Dialog Box.
After import, you can update properties in Civil 3D and then save back the change. The update in Civil 3D will change the field value in ArcGIS.

Added the capability to modify and update AutoCAD objects and save back the changes to ArcGIS.
You can move AutoCAD points, polylines, and polygons to an ArcGIS layer and then save back the newly added objects to ArcGIS.
Improved support for arcs:
- Arcs on a polyline layer stored in ArcGIS are imported into Civil 3D as true arcs for all supported features.
- You can move new AutoCAD or Civil entities with arc segments to imported ArcGIS layers in Civil 3D and save them back to ArcGIS with the arcs kept instead of tessellated.
- You can refresh ArcGIS layers with arcs and preserve the arcs.
Improved the performance of refresh updates from ArcGIS and save back changes to ArcGIS.
ArcGIS domain values are now imported as a List type property set rather than as a read-only string type so that you can update the domain value list from both Civil 3D and ArcGIS and keep it synchronized when refreshing and saving back.
The default feature type to be imported into ArcGIS for each layer is now cached after it is specified, so the next time the layer is imported in the same session it can be imported with the latest feature type that was specified.
The layers are shown in alphabetical order in the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS so that you can find a specific layer more easily.

Use new settings templates to control the stylization, AutoCAD layer, and other data for objects that are created in the drawing when ArcGIS data is imported. For more information, see To Apply Settings to Imported ArcGIS Data.
- You can select data in the imported layer to stylize by creating a query, and you can apply specified styles and layers to it. You can also specify other feature specific properties such as the point group for COGO points or pipe network for pipes and structures.
- Any data that is not affected by the queries in a settings template will be imported with the default settings.
Note: Settings templates are not supported for refreshing ArcGIS data. To apply a settings template to additional data, you must reimport the data source.
Arcs are now imported as true arcs except for pipes.
AutoCAD points, polylines, and polygons can now be created from imported ArcGIS data.
