Helius PFA for Autodesk Inventor Nastran

Helius PFA for Autodesk Inventor Nastran is implemented via the MATPFA entry. The MATPFA entry is created by manually editing the model input file. It controls the type of multiscale constitutive relations that define the analysis. Refer to the User's Guide for more information on setting up the input file for use with Helius PFA.

Run Autodesk Inventor Nastran

Running an Autodesk Inventor Nastran job with Helius PFA is similar to running a standard Autodesk Inventor Nastran job.

From the Nastran Editor:

1. Click Analysis > Run

From the command line:

1. Navigate to the directory containing the input file

2. Enter the following command:

   >NASTRAN jobname.nas

   where jobname is the name of the Nastran input file. You may have to provide the entire path to the Nastran.exe file. Refer to the NASTRAN 2023 Command Line section of the Nastran Reference Guide for more details.
