To import network data from an ICM SWMM network to an ICM InfoWorks network
The Import SWMM network dialog is automatically displayed. The name of the InfoWorks network open on the GeoPlan is contained in the read-only InfoWorks network box.
If the SWMM network does not contain any pollutants, the applicable items will be exported from the SWMM network as a SWMM5 INP file and then automatically imported into the InfoWorks network.
However, if the SWMM network does contain any pollutants, the SWMM5 Pollutant Mapping dialog is displayed:
In this dialog:
InfoWorks ICM checks that each of the SWMM5 pollutants has been assigned to an ICM determinant, and for each unassigned pollutants it finds, a message, which contains the name of the unassigned pollutant, will be displayed. If such a message is displayed, click on OK and then assign an ICM determinate to the appropriate SWMM5 pollutant.
ICM uses its SWMM5 importer and exporter to transfer most of the data between the networks. Information about the conversions made when exporting network data from a SWMM network can be found in the SWMM5 Export - Conversion Notes topic while conversion information about importing it to an InfoWorks network is contained in the SWMM5 Conversion Notes for InfoWorks Networks topic.
However, conversion information for the following ICM polygon and line types of network objects, for which ICM does not use its SWMM5 importer/exporter, can be found in the Conversion Notes - SWMM Networks to InfoWorks Networks topic:
