To Open a Part from Content Center

Select a Content Center component, and insert it in a part file.

1. Click File Open Open from Content Center.
2. In the Open from Content Center dialog box, find the part family whose member you want to open.
   Tip: To open a Content Center component that is placed in the assembly, select the component before you click Open from Content Center. The component is automatically highlighted in the Open from Content Center dialog box.
3. Double-click the part family to open the Family dialog box.
4. Select the member to open, and click OK.

Note: For parts opened from Content Center, a part file is created in the Content Center Files folder. When you open a previously placed part, the existing part file is compared with the part from the library. If the library includes a newer version of the part, the original part file and all occurrences of the part in your assemblies are updated. In case the existing part file is read-only, Content Center cannot open the part.
