Design radial pins

Insert whole radial pin connection

  1. On the ribbon, click Design tab Fasten panel Radial Pin .
  2. On the Radial Pin Component Generator, Design tab:
    • Select the type of placement using the selection list in the Placement area.
    • Specify the pin diameter.
    • The generator designs holes. You can add holes or delete anything.
    • Select the radial pin type from the Content Center.
      Note: You must be connected to the Content Center server and Content Center must be configured on your computers to be able to select radial pins.
  3. Click OK.
Note: On the Calculation tab, you can perform calculations and a strength check. The calculation is performed when you click Calculate.

Edit radial pin

  1. Open the Autodesk Inventor assembly with the Design Accelerator radial pin already inserted.
  2. Select the radial pin, right-click to display the context menu and select Edit Using Design Accelerator.
  3. Edit the radial pin. You can change dimensions of the radial pin or change parameters for calculation. If you changed calculation values, click Calculate to see strength check. The calculation results are displayed in the Results area. The inputs that fail the calculation are displayed in red (their value does not correspond with other inserted values or calculation criteria). Reports of the calculation are displayed in the Summary of Messages area which is displayed after clicking the chevron in the right lower part of the Calculation and Design tabs.
  4. Click OK.
