To Upgrade Content Center Server

Back up all libraries, and then install a new version of the server.

  1. To back up the libraries, run ADMS Console, and select Tools Backup from the Server Console menu.
    Tip: If a library is corrupted, use the backup file to restore the data and configuration as they existed at the backup time. In Server Console, click Tools Restore from the menu.
  2. Uninstall the server.
  3. Install the new version of the server and Inventor.

    After the installation, use the automated process to migrate your vaults and libraries.

  4. Add migrated Content Center user libraries in the Inventor project, and then use the Update Tool to migrate and update user libraries.
  5. Refresh Content Center parts in legacy assemblies.
  6. Tip: If you later make more edits in old user libraries, use the server console to reimport the libraries under a new name.
