Tolerance Advisor automatically creates native annotations on the design model. When you make a change to the properties of one of those annotations and then update the model, one of the following things happens:
- The Tolerance Advisor model data is updated to reflect the change, such as a change to:
- The tolerance mode value or precision of a dimension.
- The value of a geometric tolerance.
- The state of certain option modifiers.
- The annotation property in the model reverts back to its original state, as defined in Tolerance Advisor, such as a change to the diameter symbol applied to a geometric tolerance.
- An error message
Required properties have been changed is displayed, such as a change to:
- The selected geometric characteristic symbol for a geometric tolerance.
- The material condition modifier applied to a geometric tolerance.
- A datum reference.
- The material condition modifier applied to a geometric tolerance.
- A datum reference.
- The material condition modifier applied to a datum reference.
- The state of certain optional modifiers.
- The information message
User-specified annotation properties ignored is displayed and the change is ignored. This information message indicates that there has been a change to an aspect of the annotation properties that is not supported by Tolerance Advisor and cannot be automatically validated. Thus, the change may cause problems with the part definition. This can be the result of a change to:
- 'Per Unit Tolerance' specified.
- The state of certain optional modifiers.
- Dimension or tolerance name.
- Dimension display properties.
