Profile Designer: General Settings

General settings specify profile properties, such as template, scale factor, and origin.

When you create a profile from the profile definition in AutoCAD Map 3D toolset, you can modify the scale factor and origin in the Profile Manager.

Description

Title

Specifies the name of the profile definition.

Template

Selects a profile template. The selected template overrides all fields in all pages of the profile definition with the settings stored in the template. To reset all fields to NULL, select None.

Height

Specifies the scale factor in height.

Ratio between the elevation of real world features in the planimetric view and height of profile features in the profile view. For example, set the height as 2 to specify that meter in the real world view is equal to two meters in the profile view.

Length

Specifies the scale factor in length.

Ratio between distance in the real world and distance in the profile.

Distance Offset

Specifies the distance offset.

Distance from the first digitized axis vertex in the planimetric view that the profile origin x axis is referenced from.

Elevation Offset

Reference altitude. Height that the profile origin is referenced from, this height is adjusted according to the scale factor.

When you use the profile definition in AutoCAD Map 3D toolset, you can adjust this value.
