audio

Maya creates an audio node for each sound file you import. Audio nodes store the imported sound file location and are used for interactive sound scrubbing and playback.

Offset

The time the sound file begins.

Filename

The path name to the sound file. Click the folder icon to browse and select a different audio file.

Frame Count

[Read only.] The number of frames in the sound file. A frame is a discrete sound sample.

Channels

[Read only.] The number of channels in the sound file.

Sample Rate

[Read only.] The sample rate of the sound file.

Duration

[Read only.] The length of the sound file in frames. (Calculated by dividing the Frame Count by the Sample Rate.)

Mute

When on, the audio file is muted. When off, the audio will playback in your scene.

Note:

This attribute cannot be animated.

Sequencer Attributes

Silence

Lets you add a period of silence before the sound plays. Enter the number of frames of silence you want to add.

End Frame

The time the sound file ends.

Source Start

The frame from the original source file at which this sound actually begins playing (used for trimming the beginning of sound playback).

Source End

The frame from the original source file at which this sound actually stops playing (used for trimming the end of sound playback).
