Full screen mode maximizes Maya's workspace, making Maya easier to use on smaller screens. When full screen mode is enabled, the title bar, menu bar, and dock are hidden.
Note:
- Full screen mode is only available if you are running Maya on macOS X version 10.7 or later.
- This procedure is specific to macOS. For Windows, see
Enter Full screen mode (Windows).
To enter full screen mode on the Mac
- In Maya, do one of the following:
- Select
Maya > Enter Full Screen
- Click the full screen icon
in the upper right corner of the main Maya window.
- Press Ctrl +
+ F
Maya moves to a new desktop and the title bar, menu bar, and dock are hidden. Any floating windows that are open when full screen mode is activated are also moved to the new desktop.
Tip: When full screen mode is enabled, moving the mouse to the top or bottom of the screen reveals the hidden interface elements.
To exit full screen mode

- Select
Maya > Exit Full Screen.
- Click the restore screen icon
in the upper right corner of the main Maya window.
