Bezier Curve Tool Options

Use these options to set the attributes of the tool created when you select Create > Curve Tools > Bezier Curve Tool. See also Create a Bezier curve.

Tip: To find a Bezier curve's tangent manipulator, ensure that Display Handle is turned on in the bezier node (Attribute Editor > bezier node > Display > Display Handle).

Manip Mode

Translate and Scale Manip Modes

Determines the manipulator that appears when you select an anchor and then middle-click. You can choose Translate or Scale .

Select Mode

Determines how you can manipulate anchor tangents.

Normal Select

When manipulating a tangent, the tangent remains unbroken and both sides of the tangent are weighted equally when one side is scaled.

Useful for creating smooth, symmetrical curves.

Weighted Select

When manipulating a tangent, the tangent remains unbroken, but only the selected side is scaled.

Useful for creating smooth curves weighted to one side.

Tangent Select

When manipulating a tangent, the tangent breaks and only the selected side is scaled.

Useful for creating sharp points.
