The previous AutoCAD Plant 3D release supported mapping of external data to a virtual property. In this release, you can also map object data from external sources to existing Plant 3D properties.
Share plant object data with external data sources by mapping properties in Project Setup. You can add an external data source from either a database setup or from the Map External Properties dialog box in Project Setup. After you specify the different mapping properties, click Map Properties to either map to an existing property or add a virtual property in Project Setup.
