After opening the Calculation Options dialog box for RC slabs and choosing the Reinforcement for punching tab, the dialog box shown below appears on screen.
The above dialog box enables the user to determine parameters of reinforcing steel (steel type, grade, strength) that will be assumed in calculation of reinforcement for punching. Additionally, a diameter of bars used for increasing reinforcement as well as reinforcement type may be defined here. There may be several types of reinforcement distinguished - depending on a selected RC code:
- bars perpendicular to slab edges
- inclined bars
- bent bars (only for the ACI code).
For inclined or bent bars the user may determine an angle at which they are inclined to slab edges.
