Graphical Selection Filter

Open the dialog, which lets you specify the structure elements to highlight in the drawing area, using either method:

• Click Edit menu > Select special > Graphical selection filter.
• Click .

The dialog has the following options:

Nodes	When selected (), structure nodes are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, structure nodes are not selected in the drawing area.
Bars	When selected (), structure bars are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, structure bars are not selected in the drawing area.
Panels	When selected (), panels are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, panels are not selected in the drawing area.
Finite elements	When selected (), finite elements generated for a structure model are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, finite elements generated for a structure model are not selected in the drawing area.
Loads	When selected (), loads defined in the structure are selected in the drawing area (refers to the graphic display of all loads). When cleared, loads defined in the structure are not selected in the drawing area.
Texts	When selected (), text is selected in the drawing area. When cleared, text is not selected in the drawing area.
Objects	When selected (), all options connected with objects (arcs, circles, panels, polylines, contours, and so on) are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, all options connected with objects are not selected in the drawing area.
Contours	When selected (), contours defined in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, contours defined in a structure are not selected in the drawing area.
Polylines	When selected (), poylines defined in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, polylines defined in a structure are not selected in the drawing area.
Arcs	When selected (), arcs defined in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, arcs are not selected in the drawing area.
Circles	When selected (), circles defined in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, circles defined in a structure are not selected in the drawing area.
Complex objects	When selected (), complex objects (objects that are a result of performing an extrusion and revolution) created in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, complex objects created in a structure are not selected in the drawing area.
Complex objects - parts	When selected (),parts of complex objects (object used to define extrusion and revolution operations, sides, base and top of complex objects) created in a structure are selected in the drawing area. When cleared, parts of complex objects created in a structure are not selected in the drawing area.

The following buttons are at the bottom of the dialog:

• All - Selects all options in the Graphical selection filter dialog.
• None - Clears options in the Graphical selection filter dialog.

At the bottom of the dialog, there is the Apply (no confirmation) field. When selected, the Apply button is disabled. When cleared, the Apply button is enabled and options in the dialog are applied only after clicking Apply.
